Autograph signature "Yours / For Truth + Dreams / Ruth St. Denis" from the American choreographer and early pioneer of the modern dance movement in America, who founded the Denishawn dance company with her husband Ted Shawn and whose more celebrated pupils included Martha Graham, Doris Humphrey, Charles Weidman, and silent film star Louise Brooks. She published an autobiography in 1939 titled ‘An Unfinished Life.’ On an album page measuring 12 x 15.5 cm. Mounting losses to verso, small tear lower left not affecting the signature which appears along the upper edge. (12637)Signature Dance
