Deux Esquisses pour violon et piano - INSCRIBED TO THE OWNER OF A STRADIVARI VIOLIN!

An interesting bound collection of sheet music by various composers (Saint-Saens, Sarasate, Tschaikowsky, Dvorak, R. Strauss, Blech, Gounod, Bruch etc.), inscribed on the inside cover of his own work "Deux Esquisses pour violon et piano" by the noted German conductor and composer "Herrn Dr. Hugo Grab, dem glücklichen Besitzer und Geniesser der herrlichen Stradivari zur freundlichen Erinnerung an Leo Blech. Prag 2. 4. 03" [For Dr. Hugo Grab, the lucky owner and connoisseur of the magnificent Stradivarius, in friendly rememberance..."]. Most of the bound editions ca. 1900. 120 pp. In fine condition, titled "Violine X. Dr. Hugo Grab" on the cover, with scattered marking in pencil presumably in his hand. (12617)
