Vintage 7.75 x 10 book page photo depicting Miles Davis and Illinois Jacquet on one side and Chet Baker on the other, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “To Neal, Happy Days, Miles Davis” and “to Neal, Illinois Jacquet,” and on the reverse in blue ballpoint, “Thanks, Neal, Chet Baker, -56-.” In fine condition, with a small tear to left edge and a trimmed right edge. A particularly clear and early Davis signature from around the same period he recorded his four hallmark hard-bop albums with the Miles Davis Quintet, and on the reverse, an uncommon signed image of the tragic jazz great whose intimate playing style established him as a great talent until his drug related death in 1988.
