The Piano Sonata No. 13 in E-flat major "Quasi una fantasia", Op. 27, No. 1, was composed in 1800–1801. Written in a fantasy style, it is notable for the absence of Sonata form in any movement, where instead, Beethoven uses formats which repeat entire sections (Binary form and Rondo).
