An uncommon AMQS from the renowned French pianist, composer and pedagogue of Hungarian birth. An attractive quotation from his own "Phalènes," inscribed to Miss S. de Garcia, signed and dated Paris, 1930. 14.5 x 16.5 cm.A student of Georges Mathias (a Chopin student) and of Saint-Saens, he impressed Liszt, Rubinstein and Tchaikovsky with his playing and was celebrated for his beautiful touch and immaculate technique.
