Early cabinet photograph of the popular Italian composer of Cavalleria Rusticana and many others, shown at age 27. He has signed and inscribed, dating the signature "Marzo '99" but identifying the photograph as from "giugno 90". Corners worn, one with a pin hole, a little spotted, otehrwise very good.The photograph is inscribed to the Italian painter Pietro Scoppetta (1863 - 1920) who also supplied text for some vocal works by Umberto Giordano.
