TLS from the eminent Russian conductor, composer and double-bass virtuoso. One page, letterhead of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. January 18, 1935. To Louis Persinger, thanking him for "writing to let me know about your young pupil Gloria Perkins" and saying that he "shall look forward to give an audition to this young artist during one of my future visits to New York." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Originates from the collection of American violinist and pianist Louis Persinger (1887–1966), who trained at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught at Juilliard, mentoring the likes of Yehudi Menuhin, Ruggiero Ricci, and Isaac Stern.
