Signed Woodblock Print

Fine original woodblock print of the great Spanish composer, conductor, and cellist, one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. An original work numbered "No. II / XI," signed by Casals in brown ink lower right, initialed within the print by the artist. 5 1/2" L x 3 7/8" W, framed to 12"L x 9"W. In fine condition, with small water mark on the print.


From the estate of Shirley Fleming, editor of Musical America, High Fidelity, Hi-Fi Music at Home, and the American Record Guide and music critic for The New York Times (1975 to 1978) . Apparently a gift from Casals to Fleming on one of his visits to NYC in the 1960s. (11112)
