Signed Letter about Menuhin

Interesting signed letter from English composer and pianist to Lady Crossfield declining an invitation to hear Yehudi Menuhin rehearse Bach as he is so busy and mentioning Arda who will be "in the Festival with us again this year," on "The Red House" stationary, dated 28th April 1959. 20.5 x 13 cm. Fine.


The Greek soprano Arda Mandikian was a good friend of the composer and created the role of Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw. (11015)
