Original Eisenstaedt photograph of the superb fiddler, specialist in the 19th century bravura repertory. A student of Persinger, Piastro and Kulenkampff, Ricci was widely acclaimed for his technical prowess and was the first to record the 24 Paganini Caprices in their original version. 7" x 9" photograph of Ricci, German Chancellor Franz Von Papen and writer Gerhart Hauptmann as the very young Ricci prepared to perform with the Berlin Philharmonic. With Eisenstaedt credit stamp on the back, this photograph was originally the property of Ricci's teacher, violinist Louis Persinger. (10965)
