Glossy 8 x 10 inch photograph of the supreme Norwegian soprano standing in a three quarter length pose in costume as Leonore from Beethoven's opera Fidelio. Neatly signed in green fountain pen ink, also adding the name of the opera and her role in her hand. Some very small chips around the edges and stains on the verso, but overall a very fine example in an uncommon role photograph.Flagstad sang Leonore 34 times during her career, 14 of them were at the old Met, and 4 of these were broadcast...1936,1938, 1941, 1951.
