Autograph Calculations for his last will, 1898

Small notebook page covered with columns of figures and numeric calculations apparently in preparation of the composer's last will. Originally removed from one of Verdi's account books dated 1898. The writing entirely in the hand of the composer, one section appears to concern donations ("donare"). 10.5 x 13 cm. Mounting stain along the left edge and one corner, else fine.

By the end of his life, Verdi was a rich man, having purchased property around Sant'Agata in the 1870s and 1880s, acquired various valuable stocks and having formed a large art collection. (10068)
