The Italian cellist, composer, and conductor responds to a query about his favorite composer, responding "L'autore preferito? Bach / Enrico Mainardi. 1927." A prodigy, he later formed a well know trio with Edwin Fischer and George Kelenkanmpff (later replaced by Wolfgang Schneiderhahn), and another trio with the pianist Guido Agosti and the flutist Severino Gazzellon.
