Graphically striking and amusing promotional poster, likely for a book or theatrical work titled "The Curse of Beauty," in black and red design printed by Empire City Job Prints, ca. late 19th or early 20th Century.  Title framed by the phrases "Tis Often the Case" and "An Old Old Story." We have been unable to trace the work advertised, though it may relate to the 1897 book of this title by Geraldine Fleming.  Framed.  24.5 x 30.5 inches (62.2 x 77.5 cm.).
