This example signed to base: 'Orrefors Sweden 1945 / Nr. 51 E. Oehrstroem'. Slight clouding around the rim, a few stray marks, tiny chip to the bottom of base, overall in fine condition. 3.75 x 5.75 inches.
This rare Edvin vase is one of 113 works produced from 1944-1947. Edvin glass was a technique developed by Edvin Ohrstom that later evolved into the Ariel technique. Glas in Schweden 1915-1960, Ricke and Gronert, pg. 283 discusses the Edvin forms.
