Broadside poem, first edition, first impression, and the first separate printing of the poem, on Arches paper, this being the author's copy, aside from the edition of only one hundred numbered copies signed by the poet.  Certainly the most important example to appear on the market, this broadside is signed and inscribed to her close friend and fellow poet, Frank Bidart: "to Frank - profound artist + beloved friend / x Louise." 19.5 x 15.5 inches. Fine.  

From the library of the important American poet Frank Bidart, who received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the Griffin Poetry Prize Lifetime Recognition Award, and the 2017 National Book Award for Poetry for his book Half-light: Collected Poems 1965–2016. One of the closest friends and associates of Louise Glück, she has written that “the importance of Bidart’s work is difficult to overestimate; certainly he is one of the crucial figures of our time.”
