Signed photograph of the American singer and actress who had her greatest success on stage on Broadway, especially in South Pacific (1949), Peter Pan (1954) and The Sound of Music (1959).  Here, Martin is shown in the role of Peter in the Broadway production of Peter Pan, which opened in October 1954 and for which Martin won the Tony Award.  Inscribed to Paul McMahon.  Caption typed to verso indicating the photograph was signed at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston on November 15, 1958.  10.25 x 8 inches (25.8 x 20.2 cm).  In very fine condition, an ideal uninscribed vintage example. 

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
