Press snippet on verso reports that they had met when they appeared together on the Columbia "The Inside Story" broadcast, where Gershwin played part of "Rhapsody in Blue" and excerpts from "Show Boat" were performed. Handstamps "SEP 24 1936" (probable date of photograph) and "DECEASED" (added after Gershwin had died). 7.5 x 9.5 inches (26.7 x 19.2 cm). Small area of in-painting for publication, wear to margins, else fine. A rare image of two of the greatest of all songwriters together.
