Signed half title of Jane Russell: My Path and Detours (New York: Random House, 1985), the autobiography of the American actress. Single page, lamentably cut from the book, inscribed in black ink to verso, "Paul / God bless!! / Jane Russell," recto featuring a facsimile signature. 9 x 5.5 inches (22.8 x 14.3 cm). In excellent condition.

In spite of her status as one of Hollywood's sex symbols, Russell was a devout evangelical Christian and open about it. The "God bless!" in her inscription is a statement of her faith.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
