Collection of 19 reprint movie studio promotional stills and headshots from throughout the 1930s–80s, with highlights including several images each of John Wayne, Roy Rogers, and Clark Gable, and a striking headshot of Dorothy Lamour.  Overall in very fine condition.  Each 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

The collection includes eight images of John Wayne, including headshots and promotional photographs from 1940's Shepherd of the Hills, 1947's Angel and the Badman, and 1959's War of the Wildcats; two photographs and a still of Roy Rogers; two photographs of Clark Gable, including a headshot and a still from 1939's Idiot's Delight; two promotional images with Cary Grant, Helen Mack, and Edward Everett Horton from the 1934 film Kiss and Make-Up; one portrait photograph of Dorothy Lamour; a promotional photograph of Van Williams; a still of Steve Reeves as Hercules; Dolph Lundgren in the 1987 film Masters of the Universe

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
