[Fellini, Federico. (1920–1993)] Boyer, Deena; MacDonald, Dwight (Afterword); Markmann, Charles Lam (Translator) [[Bidart, Frank. (b. 1939)]. The Two Hundred Days of 8 1/2. New York: Macmillan Company. 1964. First Edition, First Printing.
Hardcover in dust jacket. 4to. 218 pp. Soft gray cloth-covered boards with black lettering and pink devices to spine. Very fine in a price-clipped DJ, a little rubbed with small tear to upper right edge, about fine. Uncommon first printing of this "biography" of Federico Fellini's iconic film, itself an autobiography of the great Italian director, with black-and-white still photos from the film and behind the scenes scattered throughout. Boyer was a personal friend of Fellini and had access to closed sets, the cast and crew, as well as to Fellini's own notes and the personal diary she kept as "on-set press officer."

From the library of the important American poet Frank Bidart, who received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the Griffin Poetry Prize Lifetime Recognition Award, and the 2017 National Book Award for Poetry for his book Half-light: Collected Poems 1965–2016. His signature of ownership is on the ffe.

Known for his distinctive style, which blends fantasy and baroque images with earthiness, Fellini is recognized as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time.
