[Curtis, Tony. (1925–2010)]. Wooden Box and Ephemera from the Estate of Tony Curtis. Small Lane cedar box with black finish to the exterior from the collection of the American actor.  The skeg of a surfboard has been affixed to the lid, giving the appearance of a shark fin.  This oceanic theme befits the contents of the box, which include an assortment of sea glass, a small cuff bracelet with turquoise inlay, two large multi-colored glass beads, a 27" metal chain, a decorative "Star of David" brass necklace charm, and a Taittinger Reims Champagne bottle cap.  In fine condition.  Box 5 x 9 x 3.5 inches (12.7 x 22.9 x 8.9 cm.), wooden shark fin 7 inches (17.8 cm.) in height.

Tony Curtis is best remembered for his roles in the hard-boiled noir The Sweet Smell of Success and Billy WIlder's comedy Some Like It Hot.  He appeared in over 100 films over the course of his career.
