A good copy of Joseph Szigeti's informal autobiography, inscribed on the ffe "For Doris and Willem van den Burg in remembrance of happy musical hours / Joska / 1947." 8vo. Hardcover. 341 pp.  Orange cloth stained and worn on the spine, ffe and inside front pastedown partially split from the block, else fine. An interesting association. 

Dutch-born and trained conductor and cellist William Van den Burg  came to the United Statesat the age of 24, served as principal cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, associate conductor and principal cellist of the San Francisco Symphony under Pierre Monteux and assistant conductor and principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
