Softcover. 8vo.  [1-6], 7-225, [226-232]pp. In the rare white ground dust jacket reproducing a calligraphic drawing by Burroughs, over the trademark green Olympia Press softcover wrappers  including "Traveller's Companion." First issue with the original price of 1,500 Francs to rear wrap. Notably titled "The Naked Lunch" instead of the later, accepted "Naked Lunch".  Block separated from the wrappers, some glue showing along loose internal gatherings, otherwise a good example of the First edition, first printing of Burroughs' masterpiece and a cornerstone of beat literature.

From the library of the important American poet Frank Bidart, who received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the Griffin Poetry Prize Lifetime Recognition Award, and the 2017 National Book Award for Poetry for his book Half-light: Collected Poems 1965–2016. His signature of ownership is on the ffe.
