Large 4to, 13 x 10 inches (33 x 25.5 cm); 194, [2] pp., plus plates, including the frontispiece and others by Bakst, and by Barbier, Serov, Soudekine, and others, with numerous photogravures and photo-reproductions of the dancer (including many by Van Riel), text decorations throughout in wood engraving by D. Galanis. A very bold original signature by Anna Pavlova on the half-title. Number 2 of 300 copies, also signed by Publisher. Pages bright and clean, restored, resewn, and bound in full red goatskin by San Francisco bookbinder Paul Mucci in 1970 with binder's signed letter tipped in after the text describing the work he performed; lettered in blind on front board; housed in a custom calf parchment-covered box also by Mucci, (the box neatly repaired at a later date); ex libris Philips Academy, with de-accession letter and no library stamps, 13 x 10 in.Reference: Derra de Moroda 2452.
