Original photograph, ca. 1980s, of the influential American composer who experimented with the nature of sound and devised new systems of musical notation.  His innovative ideas on composition and performance influenced musicians, painters, and choreographers.  Signed and inscribed in blue ink to the left lower light area, with evident pen issues having caused a sort of evocative multi-layering of his signature!  Mild toning along the margins, otherwise in fine condition.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).
