Original ink and watercolor portrait of the Russian virtuoso violinist by the Italian artist Giovanni Viafora, one his caricatures featuring musicians, composers and conductors in his "Musical America's Gallery of Celebrities" many of which were published in "Musical America" magazine in the 1910s-20s. Signed "G. Viafora" by the artist lower left. Paper mounted on board with gilt details.  In very good condition, some yellowing to paper, some dust soiling, rippling, irregularly cut edges, overall very good. 8 x 12 inches. 

A student of Leopold Auer, Toscha Seidel made his career in Hollywood and later gave violin lessons to Albert Einstein.
