Large thick tile with pen and ink of Orpheus with his violin under a tree surrounded by trees and birds. In a later frame. Unsigned but Dutch, probably second half of the 17th century. Tile with left side corners broken and repaired. Surface with yellowing and some pitting, rubbing to right edge. Frame measures 10 x 11.25 inches (25.5 x 28.6 cm).
