Illustrated softcover 4to, 111 pp., in original illustrated wrappers. Inscribed and signed on the title, "For Lincoln, with Love, Andy - ." Slight foxing, small nicks to covers, else fine. 

An interesting association with the American writer, impresario, art connoisseur, and cultural figure in New York City who, with George Balanchine, founded the New York City Ballet (first known as the "Ballet Society") in 1948. Kirstein was on the board of the MoMA and met Andrew Wyeth after the museum acquired "Christina's World" in 1948. "Kirstein appointed himself Wyeth's friend, admirer, mentor, and stern critic – in essence a supersuccessor to NC" – (Meryman, Andrew Wyeth: A Secret Life, 1998.)
