Pair of highly amusing chalk-ware standing opera singer figurines, one male and one female, each with excessively proportioned open mouths and exaggerated gestures. Each incised with signature "C[opyright] FW [19]43]." Chipping, repaired cracks, some retouched painted areas. The patina of age give these clearly accomplished belters an extra charm, battle-tested as they seem to have been, on and off of the stage! Approx. 4.25 x 12.5 inches; 10.8 x 31.75 cm.
