Line block, coloured by hand, with stencil (pochoir) depicting a fanciful scene of courtship in front of a gondola on the Grand Canal in Venice. Signed by the artist and numbered 312/500 in pencil. Scene measures 8.5 x 12.75 inches (22 x 32 cm), matted to 15 x 21 inches (38 x 53 cm).

Tito was born in Naples but made Venice his home for most of his life. He trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and was later a Professor of Painting at the school there for over 30 years, taking great inspiration from the people and picturesque settings the city had to offer.
