Abbado, Claudio. (1933–2014). Signed Photograph.
Handsome portrait photograph of the remarkable Italian conductor, who has inscribed "To Paul / Claudio Abbado / Boston 70" in black ink to the right side of the image.  Caption mounted to verso reads "Claudio Abbado / Photo: Deutsche Grammophon/Jacoby."  Light wear to edges, particularly to lower left corner.  Overall in fine condition.  4.5 x 6.5 inches (11.4 x 16.5 cm.).

During his career, Abbado served as music director of La Scala and the Vienna State Opera, principal conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra and Berlin Philharmonic, and founded the Lucerne Festival and Mahler Chamber Orchestras, to name but a few of his accomplishments.
