Signed Program, Performing his Signature Concertos

Signed program page from the great Hungarian violinist, who performed his two signature works, Mozart's Concerto no. 5 and Prokofiev's Concerto in D, with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Eugene Ormandy. The concert took place at Washington D.C.'s Constitution Hall on Tuesday, March 2, 19[43 or 48?]. Mounted together with a reproduction photograph of Szigeti in a handsome hinged mat. Program 5.25 x 8.5 inches (13.5 x 22 cm) sight, matted to an overall 16.5 x 11.5 inches (42 x 29.5 cm).

Autograph Letter and Signed Broadside Poster

Autograph letter to the noted Columbian musicologist, Otto de Greiff (1903–1995) from the American pianist and harpsichordist who was particularly associated with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. 2 pages, quarto. Reading, PA. July, 1938. Tureck writes concerning a possible tour to South America, playing Bach and Brahms with the Budapest String Quartet, and encloses an autographed broadside containing reviews of her 1937 Bach Recital Series performance in New York, also inscribed to de Greiff and dated July 14, 1938. With holograph envelope and an attractive early signed broadside mentioned in the letter. Letter 7 x 9 inches (18 x 23 cm). In fine condition overall.

Signed postcard photograph of the great prodigy violinist who toured with Bartok and who was later the dedicatee of the Sibelius Violin Concerto. Vecsey is shown as a young man in a portrait by Bieber, Hofphotograph Berlin and Hamburg, and has signed across the image, dating Vienna, 1912. Slightly warped with some light corner wear, but overall fine. 3.5 x 5.5 inches (8.5 x 13.5 cm).
