In one 4 x 6 and twelve 8 x 10 photographs, Echániz is shown with many other important musical figures of the era, including violinist Stephan Hero, violist William Primrose, conductors José Iturbi, Erich Leinsdorf, Erich Kleiber, and Howard Hanson, and pianists Ámparo Iturbi, Harold Bauer and Rudolph Ganz, among others. A signed single-sheet concert program from the celebrated Hungarian violinist and pedagogue. The concert, given by the Berkeley Musical Association on February 17, 1927, included the Mozart concerto in A major, the Paganini concerto in D major, and three pieces by Handel newly arranged for the violin by Flesch. He has signed boldly along the left edge. Scarce. One folding crease, some light toning and edge wear; overall in fine condition. 5.25 x 11 inches (13.4 x 27.9 cm).

Highlights of the scrapbook include a copy of the 1937-1938 season Journal of The Philadelphia Orchestra signed "To Ma, My Grandma & Teacher with Love & Appreciation, Julius Katchen"; a concert program from the Philharmonic-Symphony Pension Fund Concert at Carnegie Hall on November 22, 1937, signed by Brazilian soprano Bidu Sayao and also inscribed by Katchen to his grandmother; and a 5-page repertoire list, probably compiled by Katchen's grandmother. "Pots and Pandemonium" - Two 1958 Press Photographs

Two charming original 1958 press photographs of the "La Racchia Orchestra," an Italian musical ensemble of the 1950's, playing their strange home-made kitchen utensil instruments. The first photograph shows two men in the foreground playing a grill as a guitar and a huge saxophone-like creation made out of stove pipes and spoons; the second shows a a jovial man playing a coffee grinder.
