Addressed to David Blum, the symphonic conductor and writer on classical music, discussing his hopes to meet later that year in England, noting that he was "very pleased to hear that the Schweitzer concert was such a success," and adding an autograph postscript in which he asks Blum to "please give kindest regards to Lili Kraus if you happen to be communicating with her." Artwork approximately 4 x 8.25 inches. Matted by papertape on verso. With the ink stamp of the United Scenic Artists Local 829 and their ink date stamp on verso. One crease, some rubbing to matte, else fine.

Oversize decorative fan blade, measuring 2 FEET [60 cm.] in length, inscribed by Mahler with an autograph musical quotation of original music, two measures in Bb, signed "Romigio [Rome] / Gustav Mahler." Extracted from the fan autograph collection assembled 1900 - 1910 by Emma de Schebek, apparently a relation of the Czech violin dealer Edmond de Schebek. Siegfried H. Kahn was a member of the famed New York Bohemian Club and a famous host of musical parties in the 1920s and 30s.
