Very rare original vintage oversize 1941 pressbook for the Preston Sturges film starring Veronica Lake and Joel McCrea, "Sullivan's Travels." 30 pp. including images of all of posters available for theaters to order, advertisements for press reproduction, facts about the film etc. Veronica Lake is featured on the cover, with inset smaller images advertising a bus route of "Dangerous Curves" and "Soft Shoulders." Originally nicknamed Chicko due to his reputation as a ladies man, a typesetter accidentally dropped the "k" in his name and it became Chico. Inscribed "Regards to Betty / Chico Marx," and from the Estate of Betty Melnikoff, née Peskin. 1-inch tear extending from right margin just into the image, margins toned, else fine.

Bold autograph signature of pre-eminent movie cowboy of the silent era who appeared in more than 300 films. Vintage ink signature, “Tom Mix,” on an a cream colored album page measuring 7 x 11 cm, in black ink and in crisp, very fine condition. Sold together with a 1920's "arcade card" of Mix holding his pistol, captioned "Tom Mix Goes Gunning."

A very fine signed pre-Kane era photograph of the American film director, writer, actor and producer widely acknowledged as one of the most accomplished dramatic artists of the 20th century. Boldly signed "All good wishes, Orson Welles" and in very fine condition. 13 x 18 cm. This is an early image from before his celebrated 1941 "Citizen Kane," regarded by many critics and the finest American movie ever made.

Signed Childhood Photograph

Rare signed photograph from the height of her juvenile celebrity, signed in blue ink "Natalie Wood." She began appearing in films at the age of five and by the age of 25, was already a three-time Oscar nominee for "Rebel Without a Cause," "Splendor in the Grass," and "Love With the Proper Stranger." She went on to star as Maria in the 1961 film of West Side Story and though originally signed to do her own singing in the film, Wood's sung numbers were later dubbed over by session singer Marni Nixon. Wood died tragically young when she mysteriously drowned in 1981 after trying to recover a dinghy. Signed childhood photographs of Wood are very uncommon. 2.5 x 3.5 cm.

Vintage photograph, signed and inscribed ca. 1937 by Bill Kenny, Charlie Fuqua, Orville "Hoppy" Jones and Ivory "Deek" Watson. 8 x 10 inches. Very fine.

There were many incarnations of the Ink Spots from their start in 1934. Bill Kenny replaced Charlie Daniels before their first Decca recording in 1936 and the present image dates from around that time.
