Title, with stamped limitation number ("7"); verso illustration; 275 - 344 pp. Finely printed limited issue periodical publication with contributions from Drieu La Rochelle, Pierre Reverdy, Tristan Tzara, Erik Satie, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Raval, Jacques Porel, Marcel Arland, René Crevel, Pierre de Massot, and "Quelques Fous." Illustrated with 10 drawings by (including two hors - texte), and with the lithograph portrait of Satie by Picasso. This issue includes also a first publication of an extract from Satie's "Chronique Musicale - Mémoires d'un amnésiac" as well as the first publication of the fourth song of the series "Ludions," which appears here in manuscript facsimile and which would not be published by Rouart-Lerolle until 1926. The issue in very fine condition, with one small blemish to the front wrapper, else fine.

(Grove) A superb image of Schipa, shown in costume in a La Scala production of Cimarosa's "Il Matrimonio Segreto," boldly signed in black ink "Tito Schipa 1956." A rare vintage signed silver postcard photograph, a very unusual and humorous image of the Romanian tenor, outfitted as a chef for the 1932 "Jubilaums-Reichs-Gastwirts-Messe" in Berlin. Boldly signed and in very fine condition. 9 x 14 cm. Due to his small figure, he was known affectionately as the "pocket Caruso." Original Ilse Bing glossy photograph of the Austrian/American pianist whose Schubert and Beethoven recordings are beyond compare. Signed, inscribed and dated 1946. A few creases (one moderately strong across the top inch of the image), overall in very good condition. Good signed photographs of Schnabel are elusive.

His teacher, Theodor Leschetizky, once told him: “You will never be a pianist. You are a musician.”

Published by the members of the North Family of Mount Lebanon, NY, a comprehensive collection of Shaker hymns composed over the course of the 19th century, and a companion to the so-called "first volume" published in 1884.  Ex-library reference copy not in circulation with minimal markings, light external age/wear, with a slightly sunned spine, solidly bound with clean pages.

Originally part of the incidental music Sibelius composed for his brother-in-law, Arvid Järnefelt's 1903 play "Kuolema" (Death), it is far better known as a separate concert work and remains one of Sibelius's signature pieces.
