Larry Davis was the auditorium manager at Indiana University, where he had the opportunity to meet, and collect autographs from, numerous great performers.

Scarce signature from the important Russian cellist and pedagogue penned on a yellow album sheet and dated 1971.  Together with halftone photograph from unknown publication.  Mounting remnants to verso, else fine.  Autograph page 5 x 3.75 inches (12.7 x 8.9 cm.).

Garbousova had a great European career before settling in the US in 1939. Barber, Rieti and Rathuas all wrote major works for her and she introduced works by Creston, Hindemith, Lopatnikoff, Martinu and Prokofieff.

Signed concert program for a Sunday, January 24, 1960 all-Chopin performance by the distinguished Polish pianist as part of the Boston University Celebrity Series.  Pieces performed include the Polonaise in C minor, an unspecified Nocturne, the Fantaisie in F minor, the Sonata in B-flat minor, four Mazurkas, two Waltzes, two Études, and the Scherzo in B-flat minor.  Light crease to lower left corner, else fine.  6 x 9 inches (15.2 x 22.9 cm).

Signed photograph of the remarkable Menuhin siblings signed on behalf of all three by Yaltah, the youngest, who has inscribed "To Dear Mrs. / Roberts, with / love, Yehudi, Hephzibah, and Yaltah / 1963."  To verso is a note addressed to "Dearest Yoghurt Queen!!" and dated December 14th, reading in part "Home at last- first thing I thought of was sending you this picture and my loving thanks for your kindness  to me.  The tour was exhausting- but I survived."  In fine condition.  10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm.).

TLS from the great violinist to Doris Monteux, widow of the French conductor, regarding an unknown error in one of his books.  17th May 1977;  1 p. on personal stationary, in part "I stand corrected, and I shall have the correction made in future editions... It was before my time, before I knew him, and I never played with him in Boston, or else it would never have escaped my memory." He goes on to say it is good to hear from "a 'deeply chagrined' lady, who is rightly proud and zealous of her great husband's reputation."  Expected mailing folds, crease to upper and lower right corner, else fine.8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).  Together with transmissal envelope, upon which Mme.
