Signed photograph of the great soprano, who is shown taking her bows with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Gerald Moore after a recital at Carnegie Hall. She has penned across the image: "Italienisches Liederbuch Carnegie Hall 1964 / Elisabeth Schwarzkopf." The three performed Hugo Wolf's collection of lieder in Carnegie Hall in November 1964. Rather poor contrast to the signature, but otherwise very fine. 10 x 8 inches (25.3 x 20.3 cm).

Signed Photograph to "our excellent Waltraute, First Norn and Magdalene!"

Signed photograph of the German composer and conductor, son of Richard Wagner, and director of the Bayreuth Festival from 1908 to 1930. He is shown in a profile portrait and has signed and inscribed in pencil on the mount to alto Lotte Dörwald (translated from the German): "To Frau Dörwald, our excellent Waltraute, First Norn and Magdalene! / Siegfried Wagner / 1925." Also signed by the photographer on the mount. Matt rather toned, with some light water damage at the left edge; overall fine. Photograph 6.5 x 8 inches (16.2 x 20.6 cm), overall size 9.25 x 12.5 inches (23.5 x 32 cm).

Twenty-One Drawings of the Russian Ballet - SIGNED

London: Davis & Orioli. 1920. A large portfolio of 21 looseleaf drawings of Diaghilev's Ballets Russes by the English painter Laura Knight. Publisher's folio, contents loose (as issued), containing title leaf (signed and limited on verso) and 21 sheets of drawings, including one in color. From an edition of 350 copies, of which this is no. 25, signed below this number by the artist. The drawings primarily depict Tamara Karsavina and Léonide Massine in Massine's "Le Tricorne." From the collection of Lady Colefax, with a gift inscription to the front pastedown, dated 1920 (Christmas). Spine torn and covers very worn and soiled. Contents vary, some sheets with creased corners, 5 leaves toned, 2 water-stained, 4 with remnants of mounting tape to verso. Overall good. 13 x 16.5 inches (33.5 x 41.5 cm).

A large and important collection of original signed and unsigned dance photographs from the Jacob's Pillow Festival, ca. 1940's–1960's, most by the photographer John Lindquist, from the collection of Paul McMahon. The collection contains fourteen 11 x 14 photographs, including images of Carmen de Lavallade (two signed photographs), Niels Kehlet (three signed photographs), James Clouser (five signed photographs), Robert Powell (one signed and one unsigned photograph), a signed photograph of a dancer in American Indian dress, and an unsigned photograph of Ted Shawn and his Men Dancers in mid-air; a signed 8 x 10 photograph of La Meri and Matteo in "Swan Lake," sixty-one 8 x 10 photographs of dancers, most stamped on the verso by John Lindquist; five smaller photographs; two autograph notes from John Lindquist, and invitations to exhibitions of his work.
