The card is filled out with Kennedy's 122 Bowdoin Street, Boston, address, hair and eye color, height, fee, date of birth, and signature, with various official stamps and dates, other notations, and punch slots. Amusing early-twentieth-century sign, hand-painted on card, reading on one side: "Busy Girls Sewing Club / Miss Ada Moeller, Leader" and on the other side: "Community Promoters Clothing Club / Margaret DeLong, Mary DeLong, Leaders." Our new year has opened in an encouraging manner. Yours truly, Booker T. Washington, Principal."
