Agnes joined Schubertiade in January 2016, bringing expertise in music, research, rare books, and languages. She works closely with Gabe to research and catalogue our offerings, as well as providing logistical support with purchasing, packaging, and shipping. She is also the voice behind Schubertiade's popular Instagram account (instagram.com/schubertiade_music) and the resident decipherer of German handwriting. Agnes holds a B.A. in Music from Yale University and two master's degrees in Early Music from the Schola Cantorum in Basel, Switzerland, with particular research interests in music of the seventeenth century.
Active as a solo and ensemble singer and singing teacher in the Boston area, she can be heard performing with groups including the Choir of the Church of the Advent, the Schola Cantorum of Boston, The Thirteen, Seven Times Salt, and her own ensemble for seventeenth-century music, In Stile Moderno (instilemoderno.com).
