Steiner, Max. (1888–1971)

"Max Steiner And His Orchestra – Great Love Themes" - SIGNED LP

A scarce signed LP record album from the Austrian-born American composer of theater and film music, known for his scores to King Kong, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind and many other films. RCA Victor LPM 1170, signed and inscribed in blue ink to the upper left verso corner of the cover and dated 1957.  The recording consists of works composed by and performed by Max Steiner and his orchestra.  The lower left corner of cover perished, upper edge partially split, but in otherwise fine condition and with the LP untested but in apparently fine condition as well. Steiner remains uncommon across all signed formats, with this example only being the second we've handled.
