Loot is a two-act play by the English playwright Joe Orton, a dark farce that satirises the Roman Catholic Church, social attitudes towards death, and the integrity of the police force.  It won the queer Leicester-born playwright the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play of 1966. The present paperback edition was published simultaneously with the hardback. (22975)
