Signed photograph of the American harmonica player, who has inscribed "To Paul / Larry Adler" to the upper margin.  Toning to verso, image unaffected, overall in fine condition.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

Adler led a long and varied career that began as a vaudeville actor.  As a harmonica player, he collaborated with a variety of important figures from the worlds of classical and pop music.  Ralph Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Arnold, Darius Milhaud, and Arthur Benjamin all composed pieces for him, and he did session work for pop musicians such as Sting, Elton John, Kate Bush, and Cerys Matthews.
