Cabinet Card of a Memorial Display
Poignant and unusual cabinet card photograph by Spurr of Creston, Iowa showing (presumably) a memorial arrangement on display at a funeral parlor. The tribute consists of an anchor-shaped floral arrangement, together with a flute laid across a music stand. In the background, a woman's portrait is framed and displayed on an easel draped in black cloth. Inscribed "flute for Christie" in pencil to the verso.
