[Piano] [Myers, Estrild Raymona. (1909 - 1972)]

Unusual Photograph of Mirrored Pianist!

Striking and unusual photograph of a pianist sitting at an open grand piano, the image manipulated to show her multiple times, as though in a mirror.  Raised stamp bottom left of photographer Gordon Conner of Cleveland, ca. 1940.  A note on the verso suggests that this pianist performed with American composer, orchestral director and violist Paul Whiteman, and we believe her to be Estrild Raymona Myers, known professionally as Ramona, an American cabaret and jazz singer and pianist during the 1930s who became a vocalist and pianist for Paul Whiteman's Orchestra from 1932–37, succeeding Mildred Bailey. This remains a most striking image, however.  Creasing to corners, stamps and file labels to verso, and light wear; overall fine.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).
