The piano score inscribed on the title by the composer to the marvelous French violinist who committed suicide in 1982 after a long struggle with depression: "Christian Ferras, dem faszinierenden Geiger, in aufrichtiger Bewunderung! Grete Zieritz / Berlin, 25/IV/1956." Together with an oversized matte photograph of Ferras by Claude Poirier. 

The Austrian-born German composer of over 150 works studied in Berlin from 1926 to 1931 under Franz Schreker and in 1939, was the only woman at the International Music Festival in Frankfurt am Main among composers from 18 nations. In 2009 in Vienna's Donaustadt district, the Zieritzgasse was named after her.
